SALE: Bonham's Russian catalogue now online


The November Russian Sale at Bonham's will feature a selection of fine Russian paintings and works on paper, Russian works of art, including pieces from the workshop of Fabergé, icons and important Russian furniture.

Bonhams holds two Russian Sales a year at its main auction rooms in New Bond Street, London. Their Russian auctions feature works by major Russian 19th and 20th century masters, such as Ivan AivazovskyVladimir MakovskyKonstantin Makovsky, Alexei Harlamoff, Ilya Repin, Isaak Levitan, Ivan Pokhitonov, Nikolai Bogdanov-Belsky, Nikolai Fechin, Zinaida Serebriakova, Konstantin KorovinNatalia Goncharova and Petr Konchalovsky.

The Contemporary Russian section of Bonham's sales feature works by prominent artists such as Vladimir Nemukhin, Evgeny Rukhin, Vasiliy Sitnikov, Oscar Rabin, Lydia Masterkova, Semion Faibisovich, Oleg Vassiliev, Yuri Zlotnikov and Sergei Volkov. The works of art section focuses on outstanding pieces of Fabergé, jewellery, silver, Imperial porcelain and bronzes.



Bonhams' series of Russian Auctions continues to attract new collectors from Russia, Ukraine and other CIS states. They are always looking to consign Russian paintings from all periods, especially those of the 19th century. Key names are Aivazovsky, Harlamoff, Pokhitonov, Konstantin Makovsky, Vladimir Makovsky, Repin, Levitan, Bogdanov-Belsky, Goncharova, Korovin and Serebriakova.
