JOB: Lecturer in Russian Studies, Uni of Georgia

The Department of Germanic & Slavic Studies at the University of Georgia invites applications for a full-time lecturer in Russian studies, beginning August 2012. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate Russian language courses at all levels, courses in culture and/or folklore, and possibly additional courses in her/his area of specialization. Duties also involve participation in co- and extra-curricular activities and mentoring of students. The teaching load is 7-8 courses per year. Required qualifications: Ph.D. in Russian/Slavic Studies or a closely related field, proven excellence in teaching, and native or near-native fluency in Russian.
