The School of Modern Languages and Cultures is delighted to announce two schemes for students commencing postgraduate study in the School in September/October 2012:
1. School of Modern Languages and Cultures Postgraduate Bursaries
(deadline: 8 June 2012)
The School is offering bursaries for students undertaking taught and research MAs and PhD programmes in SMLC, full-time and part-time, starting in September/October 2012. Both Home/EU and international students are eligible to apply.
In 2012-13, either full-fee or half-fee bursaries at UK/EU fee levels may be awarded to individual applicants at the discretion of the Scholarships Committee.
Bursary applications are invited from highly qualified prospective students of all nationalities for MA and PhD by research and for taught MA programmes. Applications will be considered on academic merit alone. You can find listings of all taught MA programmes offered by the School in Coursefinder. 2. School of Modern Languages and Cultures Interpreting and Translation Scholarships
(deadline 8 June 2012)
The School is offering up to 3 Interpreting and Translation Scholarships for UK and EU students undertaking the MA Applied Translation Studies (full-time or part-time), the MA Audiovisual Translation Studies (full-time or part-time), the MA Conference Interpreting and Translation Studies - Bidirectional (full-time) or the MA Conference Interpreting and Translation Studies (full-time).
Applications are invited from highly qualified prospective students. Applications will be considered on academic merit alone.
The award will cover full tuition fees at the UK/EU rate for the programme. The awards are available to nationals from the UK and EU and are not open to applicants who are liable to pay academic fees at the international fee rate.
